Our linux gurus are quite experienced. After several dozens of hours they have
not been able to get Redhat 6, Win98, and Dos multi-bootable with lilo,
nor get emacs speak installed on top of redhat 6.

Clearly there remain considerable installation problems, even for experts,
before we can hope to set up linux nearly as easily as dos or even windows.

This is not to detract in any from the massive contribution of the many who
have devoted thousands of hours each to making linux excessable. It is just to
point out to other frustrated linux would bees that getting everything 
coordinated is not finished.

Clearly just telling newbies to just read the docs, usually without even
giving the urls for those docs, is presuming much which is at best *very* 
hard to find and coordinate.
