Most likely, the person can access the systems over a network like ethernet.
I am accessing the oracle database using a telnet session to the unix
box over ethernet. I am currently using vocal eyes, a dos based screenreader
and ncsa telnet, a free telnet client for this task.
One can use any dos screen reader and any dos based telnet package
that is speech friendly.
It is however likly that the invoice system is a client-server type system
where the client program is running on the pc as a windows application
and just the server component runs on unix.
Having something like emacs with emacsspeak will probibly not be the answer.
For the windows client, one will have to test the various windows
screenreaders
with the specific invoice application to see how well it works.
There might be a number of other options.
Mail me privately with more product info and i will try to help.
regards, Willem
