Of course. Your hardware has to be able to support the demands of the host,
plus all the guest, systems. Since most people nowadays have computers which
are fast enough that they spend a lot of time being idle, this would be hardly
noticeable. If your existing hardare can devote its otherwise idle time and
resources to the support of a second, albeit virtual, computer, then your
budget won't suffer quite so much because you won't need to buy additional
hardware (except, perhaps, for things like disk space and memory).
P.S.: In my opinion, this is getting off topic as it no longer has anything to
do with a blind person's use of Linux.
