Depends on your scanner. VMWare currently doesnt emulate
a SCSI controller. Thats probably the main problem for you.

You can never have enough mem. but:
I run WinNT 4.0 with JFW3.2 with 64MB without major probs.
If you have 128 and run VMWare giving VMWare 64MB of ram would
be a good idea. 128MB for WinNT and JFW is IMHO a
quite well setting. It mainly depends ifyou use Eloquence
or not.

Yeah, but you can choose a WIndowManager with a small memory footprint.
