I just shelled out the $ for a Braille Lite 40. I'll be going back east
for College in a month or so, and I decided it was a necesary tool. I've
already started taking advantage of it by putting grade 2 translated books
on it, and reading them with the braille display. Does anyone know if I
can use the unit more directly to access my Linux box? Either of the two
folloing ways would be cool:
1. As a braille display...I read the Access HOWTO, and it said that brltty
no longer supports it. Is there anyway other interface package I could
use?
2. As a Speech synth..I'm not really interested in using Emacspeak...but
is htere another Screen Reader that supports the Braille Lite 40 as a
hardware synth?
Feel free to reply privately, since I'm sure many of you will be borred by
the responses. Thanks for your help,
Cyrus
