Hi
X windows is needed for RealPlayer, but you won't even need to go
into X. Get the rpm of realplayer, there's one at ftp.braille.uwo.ca in
/pub/linux/goodies directory. Don't use the alien utility in debian to
convert this package, it doesn't work. Install the resulting rpm like
this:
rpm -Uvh --nodeps RealPlayer-7.0-1.i386.rpm
Please be aware that debian has a realplayer package. However, if
you do it this way, trplayer won't work do to some library functions
missing. The installer package must not install them.
When you get trplayer running, you'll love it. No more rap script
to fool with just trying to get it to interface to the realplayer.
