Re: linux, backing up, jazz drives and others question



Well: perhaps you have two IDE channels, in which case you want to put
both the CDROM drive and the new drive on the secondary, and leave the
first channel to harddrive(s) only.

Reall, you want this to be SCSI, as it will be quite a bit faster, and it
won't slow the cIDE channels down for other devices, such as the
harddrive, as the CDROM is doing.
