Re: problems with zipslack



A file probably got out of sync. /etc/inittab more than likely. I had that
happen when I used an echo command on it thinking echo appends to the end
of a file, and lost my whole file then, so I deleted the file, got one from
the zip file, and copied it back in, only to find out that the system still
said it wasn't there. The umsync program that sets up the linux structure
on the umsdos file system runs after init, so if you do this, I would
advise shutting down, going to windows or dos and deleting it and putting
it back in, as then the file will exist to linux. I fixed things by using a
bootdisk and rootdisk to run umsync on my dos partition.
