You might go into the lynx conf by pressing O)ptions
then editing it, marking Save with a X so settings will be saved, and
then its fixed.

That's a standard feature of any editor, I do use Joe, with ctrl+k
ctrl+b I select a block, then with ctrl+k w a can write this block to
another file.
