ftp on linux?

Hi,

How can I update my website on linux using ftp? On windows I would log 
into the ftp server with windows explorer and then copy and  paste my 
files there.
How do I do this on linux?
I only have a cli and no graphical interface like gnome. I don't even 
have x working.
I am using brltty and speakup on debian as well.
