Ok I installed aspell and now I don't get that error.
I get
"en_au dictionary doesn't exist" or something.
So how do I switch to say the us dictionary just so I can check my 
spelling? It seems like there is no Australian spell checker.
Any ideas?

I still haven't worked out the answers to my other questions. So help with 
them would be greatly appreciated.
