Problems with ethernet card

Eth0 doesn't have an IP address. You might be able to fix this via dhclient.
# dhclient eth0
If that works, then something got messed up in the config file. See
/etc/network/interfaces. There should be a line in it like this:
iface eth0 inet dhcp
