Reading DVD Contents?

Well, yesterday I received my pre-release copy of a Humphrey documentary.  1 of 
our folks from the LUG gave me these instructions on mounting-and-playing dvds, 
but maybe can some1 please tell me if there's an easier way in the console?
mount /dev/dvd   /mnt/dvd/
       may need to eject and re-rotate/reseat the dvd and close

vobcopy -I 2>&1 | grep 'Title.*chapter'


mplayer  -dvd-device  /mnt/dvd/   dvd://3

 replace 3 with desired title number


when finished

umount   /mnt/dvd/
And also how better to actually read titles, more than chapter 1?  Thanks in
