Swap partition question

Hi all,
I've had to reinstall Arch onto my machine here and I have also expanded my computer wiht more RAM so now I have 4 GB of RAM.
So my question is, is it still nesesary to create a swap partition when I have this amount of RAM? And if so, how much is recommended?
