Hi,
Besides editing /etc/modules.conf or ifup-post script, you can add the
line below:
ETHTOOL_OPTS="speed 100 duplex full autoneg off"
to
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ethX
ETHTOOL_OPTS is documented in
/usr/share/doc/initscripts-<version>/sysconfig.txt. Credit goes

It works for my system: Dell PE2650, bcm5700-7.1.9-1 driver, Fedora 1,
kernel 2.4.22-
1.2129.nptl.
