I'm able to load the lpfc driver from the initrd image. looking into 
mkinitrd script i didn't found any variables called 'deoped'. do you 
mean using the mkinitrd to call the '/sbin/multipathd'? i tried to add 
/sbin/multipathd, i would say i may keyed in the wrong one.
