[dm-devel] dm-linear error: Device lookup failed

Thanks for the reply Heinz,

I have to admit that I am a complete noob when when it comes to
understanding how device-mapper works and the documentation I've read
doesn't shed much light either I'm afraid.

The machine indeed has 2 IDE disks.  I am wondering how I can prevent
this error message from occuring?  It sounds like something is wrong
even though there doesn't seem to be (but is there really?).
