I probably could adapt to anything - I bought the Batbook/Sendmail -
rolled my eyes, read the whole thing understood very
little...BUT...sendmail is actually quite easy to use. Edit
/etc/mail/sendmail.mc - generate a new sendmail.cf file (m4
/etc/mail/sendmail.mc > /etc/sendmail.cf). Personally, I think that if a
network admin can't handle sendmail - they aren't qualified to be a
network admin.
As for adding aliases, masquerading domains upon send and stuff - I use
webmin <http://www.webmin.com> and it's really really easy. I even have
set up multiple domain names on sendmail rather easily. New version of
Webmin also has postfix module.
As for sendmail being slow - perhaps - I don't have any system with more
than 50 users so perhaps I don't have perspective. Advanced features? -
SMTP auth made simple, local procmail integration, support.
