So ... since noone else could give details I had a look into the SRC
rpm for netscape ...
netscape-4.77-1.src.rpm
provides:
/usr/src/redhat/SOURCES/navigator-v477-us.x86-unknown-linux2.2.tar.gz
size: 12501715 bytes
This file doesn't actually contain much in the way of source (it's
a .tar.gz file - weird that NS names it that) ... so yes everyone who
did say it wasn't free is term of FSF - I now know why you said that
now, even though a src RPM exists.
Which leads me back to why I posted my original message (though I
didn't say this in the original email cos I saw the SRC rpm and
rewrote it :-)
Why is there a binary only product distributed with RedHat?
I got the 'impression' from a seawolf subject (bye bye powertools)
that RedHat didn't like non-source stuff on the CD's
(and no I'm not discussing nVidia since that also includes kernel
stuff - quite reasonable)
As has been said about many other products before - you can download
NS from NS if you want it.
