File it as an RFE in bugzilla. That is the "Official Request Linw" as you put it.
OTOH you will NEVER get rid of sendmail completely. It has been in redhat
since the beginning and there are too many sites that use and like it.
I would be happy if they just officially supported other MTA's like postfix.
We shall see.
