Right, that solves the problem. Thanks.
The only other problem I had w/the upgrade was that the
/etc/modules.conf had two entries that stopped drivers from loading. One
was setting irqs for the NIC, which after I deleted, solved it. The
other was setting a wrong io port for the
sound card, which didn't cause a problem for 7.0 but was revealed in
7.2.
The NIC settings were to try to resolve resource conflicts in the pcmcia
drivers
which I had to spend a bit of time on in the 7.0 install. I guess the
new hotplug
approach to drivers doesn't need the same settings.
