I don't want the whole Postfix vs Sendmail argument to boil down
to "Postfix is easier for newbies"; to do so would be a disservice
to Postfix.  Postfix is so much better in other areas that to only
focus its easier configuration makes it seem "dumbed-down", which
it clearly is not.

My position has basically been the opposite of Joe's: I (try to)
replace every occurance of Sendmail with Postfix (except in the very
common case of null clients, which leaves no listening daemon and
I can trust to work without too many difficultites).  As a result,
if Red Hat would ship Postfix, I would have less work on my hands.

Of course, Sendmail, Inc. is one of the golden children of
open-source businesses and for another golden child like Red Hat
to turn its back might overall be worse for "our kind" (if there
is such a thing) than me having to take a few extra steps when I
build a system.  So, I won't complain too loudly.
