Hey Steven,
I mentioned something about this 5 days ago, in that other thread about
'dem ol sound blaster live blues again'
Perhaps you didn't see my post, here it is again, as some of my findings
might help explain your findings.
-------------------------------------
I've found that my live card does interesting things with the settings
from aumix. In order to get sound out of the front&back speakers at the
same time, I need to fiddle with the line2, line3 and digital2 settings.
These seem to do some fading from front to rear.
Here are my findings:
Line2 and digital2 seem to adjust front volume, independant of rear.
line3 fades from front to back, where 100 is full front, and 0 is full
rear.
Can anyone confirm whether or not this happens on their sbLive cards too?
---------------------------------------
Anyway, sorry I can't help you on the CD sound problem.
Arend
