The reason that I use this email address (enigma-list redhat com ) is so I
have one that's used only for this list.
It's also the reason I ask people not to mail to me at this address.
By these means I can be sure that if I get spammed, it's because of something
Red Hat has done.
I have already highlighted the fact that email addresses are published in the
archives for Red Hat lists.
I can now inform everyone here that this list is a source of email addresses
for spammers.
Here's a little from one:
<<<<
Happy & Prosperous New Year. I'll make you a promise. READ THIS E-MAIL TO
THE END! - follow what it says to the letter - and you will not worry
whether a RECESSION is coming or not, who is President, or whether you
keep your current job or not. Yes, I know what you are thinking. I never
responded to one of these before either. One day though, something just
said "you throw away $25.00 going to a movie for 2 hours with your wife".
>>>>
Do I need to remind Red Hat that the sending of unsolicited, unwelcome email
costs the recipient money, time dealing with it, and reduces bandwidth for
the purpose for which it's bought.
In making subscribers's email addresses available from its web pages, Red Hat
is a party to this theft.

Please, no off-list mail
