Looks like a bit of quibble with the term "errata". I think RH uses it when
referring to vulnerabilities and critical system bugs. Fixes to common garden
variety performance problems and other non-fatals are referred to as "updates".
I agree with your observations. IMHO Red Hat has become too conservative
(Caldera-like?) when it comes to passing new stuff through to its users. It
wasn't so very long ago that Red Hat was known for pushing the envelope.
Vigorously. I fear their relationship with IBM has had its downsides.
