Save As - how do I save html files as text files without the html markups?

In Win98 I often save a downloaded html file to text (*.txt) -- IE5.5 allows
a choice of four file types?

I'm switching over to Redhat 7.2.

How do I set the browsers to "Save As" a simple text file -- i.e. without
the html markups?

Pointers in the right direction would be appreciated.
