There was much debate on gcc that was prompted by a small letter i wrote
about the flaming i got when i tried to compile mplayer couple months back.
This might be of interrest.
Another area of interrest is that for recent rawhide kernel it seems like
there is a need for gcc 3.
At this point im hesitating to depart from the 2.96 since it seems to work
perfectly.Can we have both co existing on the system ?
( and of course choose one of them when we compile ? )
