I did this on two machines today. You need to change the entry in
/etc/hosts, /etc/sysconfig/network; and the ip number in 
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

If you have a webserver the name must be changed in its configuration
file. If you are running named then you should have the machines
ip-number in the /etc/resolv.conf.
