Hmmm,
80 sounds good for a monitor that displays at 80Hz
I aways find these discussion funny.
Especially when someone says they can get e.g. 800 frames/sec
The bottom line is the refresh frequency of your monitor.
If it can't refresh the display at 800 frames/sec then you are
completely wasting CPU!
I guess what the games should all have is the option to set the
frame rate to match the monitor frequency (or should it be twice
the monitor frequency?)
Getting software to produce 10 frames for every 1 frame that is
displayed means you are using (up to) 10 (or is it 5?) times more
CPU than is necessary but not getting any better results
