Re: Trouble with KVM switch and RHL

I too am running the intellimouse explorer optical. It works great on all the other computers, but some reason this one is giving me fits. It's a older Compaq presario (450 PII). I don't have any issues with the KVM when running windows (am I allowed to use that word here??? ;-) ), but for some reason, the combination with RHL just doesn't seem happy. I am running all P/S2 connections, no adaptors etc....

I will try running a regular 3 button mouse and see if that makes a difference, along with the other suggestions placed here.

Any comments are greatly appreciated, even dirty mice ones!!!

Thanks again,
Adam N.

I have the exact KVM swt here and I am using it with a M$ optical intellimouse
and it works flawlessly here. I suspect that the OS has nothing to do with your
problems. I have 3 machines connected all of the time and the 4th port is a
longer cable that comes up on top of my desk so when I am working on other
machines I can have it connected while I work on it. Do not know how I ever
got along without the swt. You are not trying to convert p/s2 to serial
through the KVM are you. The docs for the KVM state specifically this will not
work (p/s2 only). I realize this is a stupid question but are you sure the
mouse is just not dirty?? Sorry just has too ask.
