Or even better,

a really simple installer that gets the machine up and running
and the rest is up to you ... no X, no GUI interface

... and then I'm sure someone would go to the trouble of writing
a second stage installer for machines that have already got this
far ... a text one of course :-)

Actually, maybe something like the second stage installer already
exists? Anybody know of one that runs with the RedHat CD's?
e.g. local/internet networking, printing, X, ANY services on top of
networking (xinetd, mail, etc etc etc)
