OK,
if I get enough free time in about 2 months (and a chance at some work
that is looming doesn't eventuate) - I'll do it!
Sorry - paid work gets priority - I've had less than a few weeks paid
work in the past 18 months and I've almost run out of sources of money.
My 1 year old and 2 year old that I spend most of my time looking after
have first world expectations :-)

However, I've heard that anaconda code is a nightmare - so if I get the
time to do it I'll chase a few redhat people for some initial help :-)

Hmmm - what have I got myself into this time :-)

It should mostly be a state machine running configuration questions
and a text screen tool
(getting config options probably from RPM's)
and running tools like: setting up partitions, RPM or other scripts
related to RPM's and probably Xconfigurator also
Hmmm - starting to sound pretty simple - I've obviously missed something!
I'm still saying that we really do not want lots of choices about what
makes up a basic system - that should be done when the basic system is up
and running - so to repeat an earlier question:
How do you currently do the equivalent of the Windows:
"Add/Remove Windows Options" in RedHat once the system is installed?
I'd guess there is an obvious tool, but I'm not much of an X-windows
person and don't use much of it other than Netscape, XMMS, terminal
windows and StarOffice.
