Kernel rpm's

Hi there,

I've been intensively thinking about it since 15 Oct, and
didn't manage to do anything.

As you probably know on 15/Oct RH published errata rpm's
with 'very new' kernel. (2.4.18-17). I'm currently using
quite good 2.4.9-34 and I'm happy, but I think I should
upgrade these packages. My problem is that I don't know
which packages shold I install & which - upgrade. I know
that kernel-*.rpm I should install, but what about other
strange rpm's. I mean particulary:

-> dev-3.3-4.i386.rpm (completely no idea)
-> MAKEDEV-3.3-4.i386.rpm (probably -Uvh)
-> modutils-2.4.18-3.7x.i386.rpm (-Uvh)
-> modutils-devel-2.4.18-3.7x.i386.rpm (-ivh, because I don't
have any older modutils-devel)

The most critical (in my opinion) is dev-3.3-4, because I have
completely no idea. Both -ivh & -Uvh are possible as far as for
--test though I'm quite confused:

# rpm --test -ivh i386/dev-3.3-4.i386.rpm
Preparing...
########################################### [100%]
# rpm --test -Uvh i386/dev-3.3-4.i386.rpm
Preparing...
########################################### [100%]

I would be pleased if you provide me any faq concerning it (other
than this old one on redhat).

TIA,
All the best,
Michal
