|Okay, here's a silly question.
|I've ben looking alot for a simple explaination to getting a
|joy stick to work on my redhat box.
|Nobody has given a straight forward anwser in anything I've read.
|I've tryed modprobe, modprobe -k with joydev, with analog and
|so on, even gameport.
|I have a pci 128 from soundblaster, that has the 5880
|audioPCI, Ensoniq es1371 chip set. Funny thing, I try to
|modprob the 5880 and that gives me error msgs.
|I do the modprobe, nothing comes back unless of course there
|is an error.
|The required files are there in /dev - js0 js1 and so on, even
|the links.. the program they say to test with, the jstest,
|keeps giving errors.
|This shouldn't be this hard, I've had easier times figuring
|out harder question...lol This one has become a real head scratcher.
|And Ideas?? Any help or guide to better step by step would be
|appreciated. I'm all out of ideas for the general info..;-)
|Thanks,
|Tim
