I resell both APC and PowerWare UPS'es here, and for all around
reliability and performance, ease of use and support, PowerWare wins hands
down. APC is less expensive, but doesn't cover all the bases as far as the
types of power events is cleans. I personally prefer full coverage with
PowerWare series 9 UPS'es, but they are pricey.
To recommend a particular model, the vendor will need to know some
information from you. Computer type, total power usage, types of power
events you need to protect agains and types of power events you want to
protect against. If all of these questins aren't asked, then keep looking
until you find a vendor who knows what they are doing.
