Hi,
Ok, I have my user login working now, thanks again for the help
everyone, but I'd like to make sure that this user is restricted on
where they can wander in the system. The primairy access method will be
via ftp so I'm looking at ftpchroot, I think this is what I want.
So I see in the ftpaccess file there is a line I can modify to turn on
ftpchroot for a specific user so I modified that line as follows:
username ftpchroot
I ftp using that user name and when I send a cd .. command it moves me
up a directory. Is it possible to prevent this? I want to lock them
into their own directory sturcture. I suspected that I needed to
restart the wu-ftp service but the only way I know of to do that is to
restart xinetd, so I did that but no luck.
Obviously I'm missing something here... any suggestions? Also, does
anyone know of a good tutorial or howto site that will demonstrate some
of these concepts for a relative newbe?
Next item will be to chroot the user acount for when they login to the
terminal, need to research that more still.
Thanks in advance,
Linn
