Re: Results of On-board NIC...any suggestions?



yes the router is wireless.  the two computers that
i'm trying to get to talk are both hardwired to the
router.  ports 1 & 4.  here is a picture of my setup.

The router config has not been altered in any way.

I tested the cable with another computer and can
access the internet.

I called D-link techies and they said since i was
using linux, i was on my own.  I even tried two
different reps. 

I'm trying to use the onboard card because the 3com
card is for another machine.  I was just testing to
see if it was the card.

yes, brent is "the new guy" with all the problems
