Hello,
Any advice as to how to approach the problem below would be
appreciated...
In response to the RHSA-2002:262-7, I tried updating my kernel to
2.4.18-18.7.x using GUI up2date but encountered a problem.
When I try and install the kernel updates I get the following error
message:
There was a fatal RPM error. The message was:
Failed installing packages:
('installing package kernel-smp-2.4.18-18.7.x needs 3Mb on the /boot
filesystem', (9, '/boot', 2622464))
But when I type df I'm told that there is enough space on /boot:
$df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda8 494M 152M 316M 33% /
/dev/sda3 23M 15M 7.2M 67% /boot
none 251M 0 250M 0% /dev/shm
/dev/sda9 61M 4.2M 53M 8% /tmp
/dev/sda5 40G 1.9G 36G 5% /usr
/dev/sda6 24G 1.9G 20G 9% /var
/dev/sda2 1011M 59M 901M 7% /home
Can anyone explain how I may solve this problem?
Thanks in advance for any help/ideas.
Regards
