new kernel and bcm5820

I'm confused.I just tried to install the new kernel kernel-2.4.18-18.7.x.i686.rpm, but rpm complains and says I need a more recent version of bcm5820. I cant find a more recent version of bcm5820 for redhat 7.2. there are nothing in the erratas and upgrades, as far as I can tell. What am I doing wrong?

Here is what happens when I try to install the new kernel:

[root foo31-152 root]# rpm -ivh /tmp/kernel-2.4.18-18.7.x.i686.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
    bcm5820 < 1.81 conflicts with kernel-2.4.18-18.7.x

Looking at the bcm5820 package reveals that indeed it is just at version 1.17:

[root foo31-152 root]# rpm -q bcm5820
bcm5820-1.17-6

And this is the version that was delivered in RH7.2.

To me it seems the only thing I could have don wrong is to try to install the wront kernel, but as far as I can tell, this is the right one. How do I know if I installed the 686 version in the current system?

Any help appreciated!

/Andreas
