rpm error

Hello,
I get the following two errors whenever I do a rpm -e

error: cannot open Sigmd5 index using db3 - no such
file or directory (2)
error: cannot open Filemd5s index using db3 - no such
file or directory (2)

Any insight as to what this means, how to fix it, etc.
would be awesome.  Many thanks!!!
