making a little script shell

Hello everybody,
I'm try to build a linux script named " search " . This script must
locate the path where is the first argument . For example when typing "
search ls " , I must get where is the executable for ls command . that is
to say : " ls " is " /bin/ls " .
I must also have , " ls is hashed (/bin/ls)" when typing this command
:" type ls "
please help .
