Yeah, we need a lot more info than what you've given us.

Look for the iputils pkg.
Show us the output of dmesg with regard to your network card.
Make and model of the network card(s)?
Is the correct module installed?
Show us the utput of ifconfig.
What is the network layout?
Show us the output from ifcfg-ethx (0 and 1 etc)
