Barry,
Thanks for your input. I did add
ALL: 192.168.100.*
to my hosts.allow, thinking that was the problem,
and nothing to my host.deny file. Back when I was
playing with masquerading, I turned off ipchains
and tried iptables:
# ipchains -F
ipchains: Incompatible with this kernel
# iptables-save
# Generated by iptables-save v1.2.4 on Fri Oct 4 13:27:54 2002
*filter
:INPUT ACCEPT [303:22322]
:FORWARD ACCEPT [0:0]
:OUTPUT ACCEPT [323:91839]
COMMIT
# Completed on Fri Oct 4 13:27:54 2002
I don't see a problem here.
