Then there must be something wrong with your grub.conf or lilo.conf.
There is no other way for linux to interfere with your cold-booted
Windows machine.
Two things you can try:
1. Make a boot disk for linux, and then take your bootloader off. (fdisk
with the MBR switch). Then try cold-booting to Windows.
2. Send us your grub.conf or lilo.conf for inspection.
To do this, the easiest way is to mail them directly from linux, but
you could also boot to linux, mount your fat32 drive, and copy the
file there.
