It will work. Check the hardware compatibility list at linuxdocs.org to 
make sure video etc is supported. While you're there, see if the laptop 
howto is still kicking around, IIRC it had some valuable hints when I put 
7.0 on a 486 Dx100, 24MB RAM and 530MB HD.
