Hey, all...
I managed to update my nic driver and the message
"spurious 8259A interrupt: IRQ7." disappeared. However, there seems to be
some problems with 2.4.18-17.7 and ServerWorks CSB5 IDE Controller. I
emailed HP/Compaq for support but who knows where that will go. I figured
I'd bring it here just for some opinions. This is the error from my kernel
log file:
Oct 26 18:39:36 staff kernel: PCI: Using
configuration type 1
Oct 26 18:39:36 staff kernel: PCI: Probing PCI hardware Oct 26 18:39:36 staff kernel: PCI: Device 00:00 not found by BIOS Oct 26 18:39:36 staff kernel: PCI: Device 00:01 not found by BIOS Oct 26 18:39:36 staff kernel: PCI: Device 00:78 not found by BIOS Oct 26 18:39:36 staff kernel: PCI: Device 00:7b not found by BIOS Then shortly thereafter:
Oct 26 18:39:37 staff kernel: SvrWks CSB5: IDE
controller on PCI bus 00 dev 79
Oct 26 18:39:37 staff kernel: PCI: Device 00:0f.1 not available because of resource collisions Oct 26 18:39:37 staff kernel: SvrWks CSB5: (ide_setup_pci_device:) Could not enable device. Again, this is a Compaq Proliant 330 G2 server
running rh 7.2 with a modified nic driver and all updates including the
2.4.18-17.7 kernel. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
