I too have the problem with a Compaq Proliant with a Compaq SCSI RAID 
Controller, though only a single processor. 
All my other servers (IBM Netfinity witrh standard SCSI Controllers) have 
updated and boot correctly.

Don't worry there were NO errors. This makes it even more confusing.
