Well, in case you missed it I *was* attending the meetings and I was even in the steering committee until things had me step down, because epel took such a bad course, and there is just so much man-material in me that can burn out. I was involved in most viper-filled mail threads as well, so I was surely not avoiding the pain. If I can't make a difference as a voting member, why should I be more successful as a random observer? In the worst case people would accuse me of distracting the discussion.
