Barcode is meant to solve most needs in barcode creation with a conventional printer. It can create printouts for the conventional product tagging standards: UPC-A, UPC-E, EAN-13, EAN-8, ISBN, as well as a few other formats. Ouput is generated as either Postscript or Encapsulated Postscript.

Update Information:
This update fixes an issue where the last item in a TGFontTypeComboBox was almost invisible.
This update also introduces the root-python26 package which contains the PyROOT module compiled for python 2.6. The root-python and root-python26 packages can be installed in parallel providing an interface to root from python 2.4 and 2.6 respectively.
Which python version you get when you use the interface in the other direction, i.e. by creating TPython object in root, can be configured using the alternatives system.
