well, one way:

# dumpe2fs -h /dev/hda2 | grep 'Journal inode'
dumpe2fs 1.34 (25-Jul-2003)
Journal inode:            8

# debugfs -R 'stat <8>' /dev/hda2
Inode: 8   Type: regular    Mode:  0600   Flags: 0x0   Generation: 0
User:     0   Group:     0   Size: 33554432
[...]
